Sally Allen and Roy Mantle negotiated with the FA for two major international matches to take place at Wembley on behalf of sponsors, Guinness Brewing.

In February 1991, the initial `Guinness International' saw Cameroon become the first African country to play at Wembley.

The following September the second `Guinness International' made history again with the first-ever visit to the Stadium by a unified German team. The match, England v Germany, was organised to celebrate the 25th anniversary of England's victory in the 1966 World Cup Final.

On the eve of the England v Germany match, stars from the England and West German teams who contested the memorable 1966 Final met up again at a special Guinness International Celebration Dinner.
